Summer Programs
Summer Interlude
Every summer the Rudolf Steiner school offers a
summer program during the month of June focusing on the study of
music. In the past the program has included both and instrumental
and a choral component.
The Instrumental Program offers a unique and comprehensive
curriculum of chamber music and orchestral coaching sessions for
string, brass, and wind players in grades 4-8.
The Choral Program has presented a semi staged
version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic children's cantata, Joseph
and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, as well as two Gilbert and
Sullivan operas. In addition to learning the music, students learn
sight-singing, healthy vocal production and stage movement. It is
typically open to students in grades 3-8.
