
Zef Egan
Science
Zef Egan began teaching Biology at Rudolf Steiner School in 2022. Before joining Steiner, Zef worked for environmental nonprofits including the River Project, Waterkeeper Alliance and the Urban Systems Lab as communicator and educator. A born and raised New Yorker, Zef developed a passion for urban ecology in the Environmental Studies program at the New School. He was drawn to Waldorf education through the ecological and agricultural writings of Steiner, and particularly the emphasis on experiential education. In his spare time, Zef enjoys taking and developing pinhole photographs, and playing baseball.
